The month of Ramadan is a season which all restaurants compete in to serve satisfying meals of Iftar to all guests after fasting all day. Restaurants go beyond that as they now compete in the whole experience. Thus, what, how and when guests eat are questions of huge concerns which are answered by restaurants’ owner for one purpose only; guests’ satisfaction. Therefore, why to eat Iftar in Menara? And what, how and where?
Menara is a new brand in Moroccan Cuisine in Saudi Arabia. It is specialized in serving premium Moroccan dishes, besides very delicious French starters and desserts. In addition, it serves Moroccan tea with keeping all the details of its authenticity. All of that is in a place that is precisely designed to be a modern example of the elegance of Islamic architecture with the enchanting Moroccan characteristics.
In Menara, Iftar is based on a Set Menu which is known by “Table d’hôte” and it means table of the guest which is the main principal of the idea. Set Menu includes limited number of choices, but all of these choices serve a complete meal from starters and soups, to main dishes and lastly the desserts. With this, guests will get a full meal without the need of moving and searching for their favorite dishes and be granted to be prepared especially for them. In addition, Dishes of the Set Menu are chosen to suit all tastes. Further more, Menara serves Moroccan tea to everyone and its included on the complete meal.
In Menara, Iftar starts, as the Saudi traditions, by serving dates and Arabic Café, also water and Vimto. Then, a selection of Moroccan desserts are served along with a masterpiece of Moroccan cuisine which is Harira Fassia Meat cubes with lentils, humous, celery, parsley and tomatoes. Not only this, a selection of hot Moroccan starters is served too, in addition to a selection of cold grilled Moroccan salads with Atlas mountain spiced flavors and these are Taktoukh, Zaalouk, Musharmlh, Khubbayza and Green Salad.
As for the main dishes of Menara, a main dish is served as guests’ desires from seven dishes. It’s possible to choose the famous Vegetable Couscous Steamed semolina with vegetables. Other possibilities are Chicken, Shrimp or Meet Tunjah with Rice Pickled lemon and cumin grains cooked on low heat in a pottery with rice. Further more, guests can choose Chicken Tagine Mixed with Moroccan spices, with lemon and olive pickles, Shrimp Tagine Stew with lemon, tomato and grilled peppers with Moroccan spices or Kofta Tagine With fried eggplant, tomato sauce and olives.
In Menara, a complete meal is not, unless with desserts. There are three choices; either Creme Brulee With Cardamom flavor, Bagreer With honey and nuts or Crunchy Nougat With pistachio and almond. Of course, Moroccan tea comes with these desserts.
