Photography, July and I

The art of photography adds a unique beauty to ourworld, keeps a lot of memories which we wish not to be disappeared, and other applications such as advertising. Therefore, I decided, in July 2018, to open a new page in this art that I always wish to be the best in, as the feeling after shooting a beautiful photo is incomparable.

On the ninth of July, I attended a photographers meeting with the title: Home Studio. The meeting was organized by Riyadh Photo. I talked and discussed with Amateur and professional photographers, so I got new information and gained from others’ experience.

On the same day of the next week, Riyadh Photo organized a workshop called: “One Light”. I attended the workshop with a big number of photographers, and It was presented by the artist Omar Aziz. I learned a lot from this workshop and my understanding of light and its effect expanded.

After all of this inspiration, I set up my studio and photographed a unique item in my room which I rarely use. I didn’t stop on this, as on the next day I photographed the same Item again with a different point of view.

I was excited with these results, so I arranged a photo shoot with my friends. They got excited too, especially the one who had wanted to change his photo in LinkedIn. Most of the photos were good and most of them were shot with “one light”. Also, with the assistant of Turki and Mohammed, we shot unique photos.

For improving in the art of Photography, watching works of the professionals and following everything new in the world of this beautiful art is essential. In addition to that and according to many advices, I subscribed to two photography magazines. The first one was called Practical Photography. It’s issued once a month ,and it has a great app. The second one was Amateur Photographer. It’s issued once a week.

On the last day of July, I went out with my friends for coffee and dinner. However before meeting with them, I reviewed my financial records of the month. I noticed that I hadn’t spent so much. Therefore, I visited Qomra which is selling photography equipments. I bought important equipments I had been looking for a long time ago: a tripod with several positions and suitable for traveling, a small cleaning kit and a small super white paper backdrop. I tried to shoot with the super white backdrop, but I failed to achieve the super white color. It seemed difficult to achieve.

I met with my friends in Rolllands Coffee. It was so beautiful with its interior design which looked like classic painting.

When August came, I realized some areas that need to be improved, but I was able to move with my studio from home to everywhere with more speed and ease. Nevertheless, The journey is still so long, and I hope that I will shoot amazing photos and develop my abilities in the art of photography.
